Hmm.
So here I am. I just went through a bunch of old entries. Part of Now-Me is still laughing with Old-Me, and another part is laughing at him. But such is life, eh? I know at a lot of the more cringe-worthy stuff*, I felt like if I could, I'd go slap Early-2000s-Isra around a bit, but then, considering how things have turned out and where I am, maybe not everything that guy did was totally wrong.
And I did write this many, many years ago:
"You know what would rock even more? Banana-cream Oreos. Someone needs to make this happen. If any of my readers have any influence at Nabisco, you know what you doing."
Okay, ignore the All-Your-Base reference. If you want, replace it in your head with a Lolcat line or joke about Rickrolls if it makes you feel more comfortable. But my point is that a week or two ago, I found Banana Oreo cookie (candy-)bars at the convenience store! And they were as awesome as Younger Me thought they would have been. Picture later for proof.

* - And I was really pretty pretentious/a poser at times. Not that I never am now, but just about different things, maybe?

This is a reference that I really don't think anyone other than film-geek Japanese punks will get, but I just made the mental connection after having it sort of nudge at me in the back of my mind for a while..
Separated at birth: Petchtai "Mum Jukmok" Wongkamlao (from Ong-Bak) and Howie from NICOTINE???

Well hello.
I am still alive, Diaryland! As, apparently, are you.
Obviously I don't feel the need to post in this so much anymore, as I tend to play with the bigger, richer kids on the block who have all the cool toys now (and you know who they are, and my name is really not common, so it's not that hard to find me). Obviously, I haven't even bothered to replace the dead image links since my Gold membership died, but I do have the images still. I just haven't re-upped them elsewhere yet.
I do think it's cool that Dland is still hanging around after all these years though.
Other things that are awesome lately: Springtime in Japan before the humidity melts me, yakiniku, the new Suntory English Malt beer, Ouendan 2, maybe having a date, little local mom-and-pop restaurants, Thai Festival in Yoyogi Park, not being home for the cicadas, no classes till Thursday this week, Design Festa Sunday, Nicotine in Chiba Sunday, Maximum the Hormone.
Not awesome: Work next Saturday, Work related stuff (taking English Club to Costco) on a day off on Monday, nostalgia for good cheap Thai food, not being home for the cicadas (this kind of goes both ways)
PS. I also have this one too.

So I was bored and killed some time going through old entries with dland's random entry feature. Things I had forgotten about or hadn't had any reason to think about in years:
- The sexy free Maggie Cheung poster I sent away for and then never put up before I left for Japan.
- Ginseng parties. Do they still have those? Do i care?
- Good Day Live - The Dumbest TV Show In The History Of Mankind, that i got stuck watching every day during lunch at work.
- My short-lived and futile crush on ___ (??)
- CRAZY JUICE MAN~ informercials
- the time my brother ate dog ramen (still makes me laugh)
- My hatred of Benihana-esque "Japanese" steakhouses
- The episode of Hangin' With Mr. Cooper where he tries out for the Golden State Warriors
That was sweet. It was like a clip show of the past 6 years of my life, Internet-style. Except I'm only sitting around at work and not trapped in a meat locker.

I really didn't remember what the last thing was that I had posted in here.
So hi. I don't know who reads this anymore other than people who come here from hilarious Google searches.
School started up again last week, and this is my first week back in my full schedule. I like most of my first-years, but I forgot how tiring they could be.
Laura is coming to visit in a couple weeks, which is pretty cool. It's sort of a double chance to prove to people here: "See? I had friends back home." and to a friend from back home: "See? I have friends!"
Ellegarden is playing a show at a small club in Chiba, and I'm hoping to get tickets. I found out the other day Allister is opening for them, and i find that oddly hilarious. If I can get to the show, maybe I'll ask if the Allister guy remembers piling in a car with me to see weezer in that Q101 stunt minishow several years back.
This was fun. Let's do it again soon! KIT BFF!
